Congratulations to our Sports Academy students Patrick Forster (Year 10) and Andrew Tan (Year 9) on their recent achievements in the Victorian Age Swimming Championships! The competition showcased the best male and female swimmers in Victoria in each age group, from 12 to 18 years.
Patrick’s results were as follows:
- 200m Breaststroke finishing 16th in Victoria
- 800m Freestyle placed 12th.
- 50m Freestyle placed 48th.
- 200 Individual Medley placed 24th.
- 100m Butterfly placed 31st
- 200m Backstroke placing 13th.
- 100m Breaststroke placed 26th.
- 200 Freestyle and placed 25th
- 400m Individual Medley finished 10th
- 1500m Freestyle and place 10th
- 200m Butterfly placed 9th.
Andrew’s results were:
- 27.16 in the 50 freestyle placing 21st in Victoria
- 1:01.00 in the 100 freestyle placing 40th in Victoria
- 2:49.43 in the 200 breaststroke placing 14th in Victoria
- 1:15.67 in the 100 breaststroke placing 13th in Victoria and being ranked top 50 in Australia currently
- Achieving personal bests in all the events he competed in.
Congratulations, boys! A special mention must also be made of Nam Lee (10F) and Trung Le (10G), who also competed in the event.
