Digital Technology Week

As part of our Digital Technology Week celebrations, on Tuesday 23 July we were visited by game developer Dayaan Nazar. Dayaan held a lunchtime ‘crash course’ in game development, eagerly attended by many of our students. Dayaan guided our students through the process of creating his original game, ‘Origami Ninja Star’, ‘a chaotic hybrid of fast-paced action and physics-based combat’. We thank Dayaan for his time.

Students interested in accessing Dayaan’s game can click HERE. Please note the game won’t work on laptops, and we do not recommend this game to be downloaded on school laptops. The game requires a desktop computer and controller to play.

On Thursday 26 July, we were joined by Sam Kingsley from Brainery Interactive. Sam took us on a tour of the world of robotics, even bringing along his robot friends to the presentation! We were lucky enough to hear one of the robots attempt to say the phrase ‘G’day Mate!’
