The ‘Sound Off’ Music Program is open to any young person (16-25 years) working, living, studying or accessing services within the City of Monash.
The program is a free music program for young people, running in Term 2, 2019. The weekly workshops will be held over 8-weeks at the Link Health and Community site in Glen Waverley.
Two workshop series are being offered:
Sound Off! – Rap (spoken word, rhyme) 4:30 – 6:30pm Thursdays, from May 2nd to June 20th.
Sound Off! – Rhythm (drumming, percussion) 4:30 – 6:30pm Mondays, from May 6th to June 24th.
The sessions will be co-facilitated by local musicians and Link Health and Community and will focus on making music. Young people will also have the opportunity to explore the relationship between music and their health and wellbeing.
Participants do not require any previous musical experience, but to simply come along with an open mind and a willingness to experiment.
Places are limited – register via SoundOff@linkhc.org.au or by calling Belinda on 0400 967 797, or Natasha on 0447 380 374
