The Year 7 Welcome BBQ is the biggest event for the Parents’ Association. Last year we welcomed nearly 700 people in total, and provided all families with food and drinks to enjoy while they mingled in the lovely outdoor spaces at the school.
While the beginning of your son’s journey at Salesian is a special time for your family, we understand that the transition from primary to secondary school can be stressful. Our Year 7 Welcome BBQ provides the perfect opportunity for you to meet other families with sons soon to begin Year 7, and gives your son the chance to make new friends before his very first day at Salesian. At the BBQ, our Parents’ Association helpers wear an ‘Ask Me’ sticker, providing a friendly point of contact to new families on all things Salesian. The fundraising levy contributes to the purchase of food and drinks for our new Year 7 families, welcoming them into our wonderful community in true Salesian style.
