‘Godspell’ Rock Musical

Godspell

This revival of the much loved 1970s rock musical will storm into the Alexander Theatre Monash University Clayton on August 10 at 7pm, with two more shows on Saturday August 11 at 2pm and 7pm.

Students from Sacred Heart Girls’ College Oakleigh and Salesian College Chadstone have been working very hard since February to bring this timeless classic to the stage. A talented cast of young performers brings the tale of Jesus’ life into the modern world.

The cast have been rehearsing twice a week on all the songs and dances as well as acting out the many parables from St Matthew’s Gospel that are in the script. Holiday rehearsals and Sundays will ensure that this talented cast will all be show ready by opening night.

Tickets are priced at $25 (Adult) or $18 (Pensioner, Senior and Unemployed), with children under 6 years of age only being charged $6 to see what will be a great show. The Box Office at Monash Academy of Performing Arts will be opening for sales of tickets to the 3 shows on June 29.
