Parents’ Association

On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA), thank you to everyone who has volunteered at our events so far this year. The work you do to support these initiatives makes all the difference in our school community.

If you have signed up to lend a hand at one of our upcoming events in Term Three, you will receive a reminder email in the lead up to the event.

In Term Three and Four, we will be hosting the following events:

  •        Father’s Day Breakfast – Friday 31 August
  •        Art & Design Show – Thursday 16 October
  •        Cabaret Night – Friday 12 October
  •        Year 7 (2019 intake) Welcome BBQ – Tuesday 27 November

We understand that the transition from primary to secondary school can be difficult, and it’s often hard to know how to get involved in the school community when your son begins Year 7. However, even if you are unable to volunteer, your attendance at College events makes all the difference in creating a welcoming community for our boys to belong. We look forward to seeing all our wonderful Dads and their boys at the Father’s Day Mass and Breakfast on Friday 31 August.

The Value of the Fundraising Levy

The funds from the levy are used to support Parents’ Association initiatives that benefit all boys in our school, including your son.

Throughout the year, the Parents’ Association (PA) facilitates many events, including our Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Breakfasts, Year 7 Welcome BBQ and Becchi Day Morning Tea.

These events provide the opportunity for you and your son to meet other families in our community, creating memories that you will cherish long after your son has graduated, enriching his education at Salesian. With over 350 people attending our Mothers’ Day Mass and Breakfast in Term Two, families continually tell us how appreciative they are of the opportunity to spend some quality time with their sons. “It was a very emotional event, a particularly special morning. Thank you for the lovely memories made today for so many of us in the school community.” – Rachel Atkin, current parent.

With your support, we can continue to provide valuable events such as these for your family to enjoy.
