2018 Monash Youth Forum

On 20 April, both Edward Feehan and Eamon McKenzie represented Salesian College at the 2018 Monash Youth Forum at Jordanville Community Centre. The Forum was part of the 2018 Victorian Youth Week celebrations, and covered the topic of school related stress that occurs with young people in the city of Monash. With stress having such a large impact on teenagers, the Forum looked at how stress can have both a positive and negative affect, with stress also serving to motivate individuals to perform. There were guest speakers who talked about their experiences, how their ATAR score didn’t determine what they wanted to do in their life, and that many other jobs gave them the skills that they needed to pursue what they really wanted to do. This was a great experience that we would enjoy being part of again.

Well done to both Eddie and Eamon for representing Salesian at this important event.
